I remember being 10 years old and my mum and dad telling me I had an ‘eye’ for photography. Whether they were just pretending to admire the below-average photo I took of a flower in the garden on their little point and shoot Fujifilm camera (HA) or being genuine, we’ll never know. All I know is, photography has been such an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether it be on a polaroid, or my parents film and digital cameras, it’s been a passion so deeply engrained within me I hardly remember when the passion started. At 14, I remember telling my parents I wanted a ‘big zoom camera’. I remember working 2 jobs after school for 6 months to save enough money to buy one. Dad drove me 600kms all in one day to help me pick out my first camera. Who knew how special that day was going to turn out to be. I feel I’ve always had a ‘knack’ for capturing life’s most precious moments. Whether it be a Sunday BBQ at home and your dad lands a kiss on your mums cheek, or the look on a kids face when dad arrives home from work. These are the timeless moments we end up valuing most. I always say, if my photos don’t make you smile then I haven’t done my job properly.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest wishes,
Heid x

During Covid I found myself starting two side business’, Seasonal Work Australia Recruitment Agency & Girls on the Moove Coffee Van. Seasonal Work Australia was created to help simplify the process of attracting workers out west to help ease the nation-wide shortage of Seasonal Workers. Girls on the Moove was thought of with my business partner Missy, to help cater for those working long days carting grain during Harvest time. Both something that turned out quite a success and something I’m extremely proud of.
On the Moove with my partner Missy!
Seasonal Work Australia

My love of photography really sparked in 2014 when I went out to work on a Cattle Station in the Channel Country in QLD. I started my Instagram page with the aim to promote what the Outback had to offer. This landed me some traction from all corners of Australia and is the reason I pursued my Photography career with one of my photos winning ABC Photo of the Year in 2015. Whilst photographing the outback is a passion of mine, portraiture has always played a special part. I have since started my career in wedding photography and have loved every second of it. From photographing couples Australia-wide, to photographing couples over in New York , it has ignited my love for photography more than I thought was possible.
